HOW DO I SUBMIT A TV SHOW?
You can submit a TV show to us either live or prerecorded. If you want to submit it prerecorded, simply email the show to us via: EMAIL US The file cannot be bigger than 10 MB and should be in .WMV format. To record a video clip onto a .WMV format, simply download the Windows Media Encoder by clicking on the following logo:
The Windows Media encoder looks like one of the following pictures depending on whether you have Windows 98 or Windows XP:
Once you install the encoder, create a recording session and be sure to select archive file to hard drive and specify a location. Also, be sure to disable the WDM Audio Capture by checking off the Disable in This Hardware Profile option by clicking on Start, Control Panel, System, Device Manager, Sound Video and Game Controllers and then highlight and right click on the WDM Audio Capture and select Disable in This Hardware Profile. Click Ok and Ok again and then the computer will ask to reboot then click on Ok. Be sure to connect a video adapter to your computer that will allow a standard video signal to be fed into your computer. One cheap adapter you can get is available at www.X10.com for $69.99. This adapter can be connected to one of the available USB ports on your computer and the other end to any standard video device such as a VCR, Camcorder, DVD player etc. Simply install the software that comes with the adapter and then reboot your computer and then plug the adapter to an available USB port and that is all there is to it.
If you want to submit your TV show live and not prerecorded, simply install the Windows Media Encoder and the video adapter as mentioned above and don't select the archive session onto hard drive option. Select the broadcast live session on the encoder and choose port 8080. When you are ready to deliver the show live to us, simply tell us your IP address that your computer is connected to and we will capture the show off of the internet and then relay it onto one of our TV stations. Live TV shows do not have a size limit. You can feed a live TV show from 5 minutes to 1 hour or longer if you wish. For technical support call us at (310)652-6042 anytime.
